Smiles All Around

Since Max has turned five months old, he has really changed.  I see him becoming more independent each day.  He is learning how to sit up, and doesn't like to lay down to play now!  He is very social, both at school and at home, and is jabbering all of the time.  We believe he has outgrown his reflux, too.  He is now medicine free.  Yay!

While his teeth still have not come in (although we think every day is going to be THE day), he is tolerating teething much better.  Max is also learning to like his veggies.  We started him on veggies right at five months old and have been working our way through.  So far, his favorite is sweet potatoes.   He actually spit out his bottle to have more!

Max is such a happy guy.  The morning seems to be his favorite time of day.  I love all of the smiles I get from him in the morning.  We usually have lots of giggles and huge smiles until he has to get into his car seat.  Here is a picture of Max when we were getting ready to leave for school earlier this week.  Check out how big he is getting.  He is now in 6-12 month clothes, and some of those are too small.

Mother's Day 2011

This was my first official Mother's Day.  I had a blast celebrating with my little peanut.  We participated in the Mother's Day 5K with my mom and sister.  My sister and I (along with a VERY tiny Max) ran this race last year.  This is an all women's race, but Max was able to participate this year because he was being pushed in his stroller.  Because we had the stroller, we were only allowed to walk - no running for us this year.  We had a great time!  Max fell asleep just as we were lining up to start and did not wake until the moment we crossed the finish line.  After the race, all of the guys took us out for breakfast.  Ron and Max also gave me a gift card for a spa day and beautiful Tulips (my favorite)!  I sure do love these two guys!!  Here are some pictures from the race.
Here we are...
