Happy New Year!

This year we celebrated New Year's Eve with my sister and her family.  It was pretty low key, which was totally fine for us.  We ate and played games.  All the kids were in bed at a reasonable time.  But, on New Year's Day, Ron and I had a house full of people to watch football.  It was lots of fun for all of us.  Max even had his buddy Joel come over to play!

Our January so far has been busy.  Max started his new classroom at the new school.  We were sad to leave the other school, but the new one is part of  the same school system and is so much closer to our house.  Also, cousin Will is at the new school.  After just 2 short weeks, we can already see how much Max is learning.  He is talking more (we hear lots of Thank yous in response to ours).  He also saw a cow on TV the other night and "mooed" at it.  So then Ron and I went through a series of animals and he knew most of their sounds.  He is also VERY close to walking.  He will walk all over just holding one of my fingers. Traveling vertically seems to be no problem for him though.  He climbs on EVERYTHING!  He also loves playing with Truman and Will.  There are some videos below where Max and Will are playing with blocks.  Enjoy!

Merry Christmas Morning!

This Christmas was very different for us, for many reasons.  First, and most obvious, is that it was the first Christmas that Max knew something was going on.  But, equally important, it was the first Christmas Ron was working a day shift.  Luckily, we were able to have our Christmas morning at home before Ron had to leave for work...at 5:30am!  After opening gifts at our house, we went to Aunt Julie's house to have Christmas morning with them.  By that time, Max was getting the hang of opening gifts.  Although, his cousins were more than happy to help too!  Here are some pictures of Christmas.  Enjoy!
