Lil Kickers Soccer

After some discussion about how to burn off some of Max's extra energy, Ron and I decided to enroll him in soccer.  The club that my nephew plays for has a group for toddlers starting at 18 months.  While the activities are much like Gymboree, it seemed like it would be a good fit.

This morning, we got Max dressed in his uniform and new tennis shoes, and then we headed out to Lil Kickers soccer.  Max had a total blast for about 45 minutes before he got so exhausted and hot that he had a total meltdown.  Of course, the other parents around me were quite sympathetic to the behavior Max displayed.  According tot the other moms around me, this behavior comes with his age and should not be stressed about. :-)  So, deciding not to force anything, we packed up our stuff and left soccer about 10 minutes early.  Max told us on the ride home that he wanted to go back to soccer.  I guess we will try again next week.

On a more positive note, Max was surprisingly good at kicking the soccer ball.  Also, given a large open space to run, he is quite fast.  Good thing he has some of his daddy's athletic ability. ;-)

Here are some pictures of our first day at Lil Kickers.  Please take note that Max would not stop long enough for me to get a picture of him smiling in his uniform.  Enjoy!

Hmmm....Should I get that one instead?

What, Mom, You want to take my picture?

18 Months Old

It is hard to believe that Max is now 18 months old.  Time has been flying since we first had Max, and now here we are, a whole year and a half later!  Max is running, talking, singing, yelling, climbing and doing just about anything he can to keep up with the "big" kids.  He loves to play in the water, both in his water table at home and on water play days at school.  At his 18 month check, the pediatrian said Max is doing great.  He weighs in at 27.5 pounds (75%) and is 33 inches tall (75%).  The doctor said that his growth may slow down now (although we have been hearing that for quite some time).  Max is starting to get pickier about what he will eat, so there may be some truth to the doctor's statement.

Here are some pictures of Max enjoying his half birthday cupcakes.  We planned to take them to school, but Max ended up with Strep Throat.  Although, I am sure he didn't mind eating the leftovers.

Happy Half Birthday Max!

Cupcakes for breakfast...I think so!

Yummy!!!

Catch Up!

So, it has been quite awhile since I posted something new.  So here is a catch up in photos over the last two months.
